IP Ukraine Now Forum

On November 01, 2019 the IP Ukraine Now Forum was held at Radisson Blu Hotel (Kyiv) where the important topics were discussed:

- State IP policy (with invited guests: Dmytro A. Natalukha, Member of Parlament and Dmytro O. Romanovych, Deputy Minister of Economy, Trade and Agriculture Development);

- International experience in stimulating inventions based on the US example (with patent attorney Christopher Palermo);

- The topic of IP court start is certainly worrying topic for the patent community, which was outlined upon by the Chairman of the High Commission of Judges Sergii Koziakov.

In addition, former President of the Federal Patent Court, Marianne Grabrucker, shared her experience, acquainting participants with the case law of European jurisprudence. At the same time, Mr. Palermo told about the possibility of software patenting in the United States.

The Anti-Counterfeit Fighting session, moderated by Sergei Lebed, raised the pressing issues of new forms of abuse, including the online trade in counterfeit and smuggled goods.

At the end, the participants had the opportunity to take part in a wonderful interactive game - the IP court session. We hope that such demonstration meetings will become a reality soon!
